We engineer outcomes. Not attendance.

Workflow Learning & Performance LLC is a consulting practice that develops learning solutions for public, non-profit and private sector organizations.

We help organizations make sure people do their tasks right on the job, long after the training ends.

We design digital performance support: step-by-step guidance that opens on a phone or laptop and walks a person through a task while they do it.

Results are measurable and aligned to your strategic goals and business priorities, so you can report them to stakeholders with confidence.

These two programs were built and run inside UN organizations for their own staff. Each started by mapping the tasks people actually perform, and was built around those tasks.

UNEP: grant closure,
supported at every step

Finance staff across 21 locations were losing days to processing errors: a spoiled receipt had to be pulled back out of the ERP system before anyone could make a manual adjustment. We mapped the grant closure process end to end, found the tasks the errors were coming from, and built the training and the support around those tasks rather than around finance in general.

Through reduced travel; the post-Covid shift to online learning contributed. The Corporate Academy's targeted training reached 173 finance staff across 21 locations in mission-critical roles.

UNFPA: onboarding that reaches the desk

After COVID, onboarding moved online, and focus groups found too much variability with new hires getting a different experience depending on where they landed, a great deal of generic information, and little clarity about what was expected of them or of their supervisors. The same workflow analysis, run with new hires, recruiters and frontline managers, found the tasks that actually matter in the first 90 days. The program was built around those.
